The Basic Warranty (Referred to as the bumper-bumper) is for 3 years or 36,000 miles. Today’s Chevrolet Powertrain Warranty is 5 years and 60,000 miles. The powertrain warranty covers the costs of parts and labor for the following repairs. The engine, the transmission and your front wheel and or all-wheel drive components.
Coverage is limited to casings and all internally lubricated parts. Your Chevrolet Powertrain Warranty is very limited coverage compared to the 3-year basic warranty or certain types of Mopar Extended Warranty.
