The Chrysler Lifetime Warranty

The Chrysler Lifetime Warranty is a Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan. This plan has three different levels of protection. The Mopar Maximum Care, the Mopar Added Care Plus or the Mopar Powertrain Care Plus. Mopar has offered the Lifetime Warranty for many decades, Unfortunately as of Dec 1st 2018 Mopar stopped offering this Warranty. This does not mean that they are not honoring there already current plans. The Lifetime Warranty is a super value to the people that have them, and mopar will continue to honor them for the life of the vehicle.

What’s covered under the Lifetime Maximum Care?

Covered Components

Maximum Care is an exclusionary extended warranty, often referred to as a “Bumper-to-Bumper warranty” and as such if it’s not excluded, it’s covered. The only parts and labor not covered are:

  • Maintenance services and items used in such services.
  • Glass, plastic lenses.
  • Body and paint items, including soft trim.
  • Wear items such as manual clutch assembly, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums and belts are not covered at any time.
  • Snow plows, winches and trailer hitches

Towing And Roadside Assistance

Maximum Care provides 24 hour “Sign-And-Go” towing and roadside assistance (up to $100 per occurrence). Benefits include towing, flat tire change (with your good spare), battery jump, out-of-gas fuel delivery (maximum 2 gallons) and lock out service.

First Day Rental

Maximum Care provides a $35 first day rental allowance in the event your covered vehicle requires any mechanical repairs or maintenance service at a participating dealership.

Car Rental Allowance

Maximum Care will pay up to $35 a day for a maximum of five days ($175 maximum) anytime a covered component described in your Plan Provision or Basic Chrysler Warranty fails, rendering the vehicle inoperable and in need of overnight repairs. Rental coverage is subject to state and local laws and those imposed by the rental agency. Chrysler is not responsible for any refusal of a rental agency to rent a vehicle to you. This extends up to 7 years and or 100,000 miles on Lifetime Plans.

$1,000 Trip Interruption Protection

Maximum Care will pay up to $1,000 for lodging, meals and transportation expenses. This is in the event your covered vehicle encounters a mechanical breakdown while you are 100 miles or more away from home. This extends up to 7 years and or 100,000 miles on Lifetime Plans.

Covered Components

Added Care extends your vehicle’s powertrain and basic component coverage beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile Chrysler LLC warranty and covers more than 800 components, including:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Driveline
  • Steering
  • Air Conditioning
  • Engine Cooling and Fuel
  • Front Suspension
  • Rear Suspension
  • Electrical
  • Expanded Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Brakes
  • Anti-Lock Brakes
  • Power Group
  • Luxury Group

Can You Still Get A Chrysler Lifetime Warranty?

Can You Still Get A Mopar Lifetime Warranty. After many decades of availability, Unfortunately Mopar ended the availability of the Lifetime Warranty. This is as of Dec 1st 2018,  With this said you can still purchase a great warranty for your Chrysler. There are plans ranging from 5 years up to 8 years. Also you can still get unlimited miles.
